GUIDE · ŽANJICE WITH KIDS
A calm bay without waves, pebbles instead of sand that sticks everywhere, shade under the olives and lunch a few steps from your towel. Žanjice is a beach families return to every summer, and this is a guide to an easy day with kids.

A BEACH FOR LITTLE SWIMMERS
The Žanjice cove is sheltered, so the water is calm and clear almost every day. The entry is gradual, the bottom stays visible, and the swimming area is marked with buoys. The pebbles are on the larger side, so water sandals serve the youngest well.
Shade is easy to find: olive trees behind the beach and umbrellas by the water. Morning is the calmest time for little swimmers, while the afternoon brings more life to the beach and the pier.
FAMILY LUNCH
When the crew gets hungry, there is no driving anywhere: the restaurant is right on the beach. Tagliatelle and fries for the kids, fresh fish and seafood for the grown-ups, and a shaded table looks straight at the sea, so even the restless ones sit still watching the boats.

If the kids are older, a short boat ride to the Blue Cave is the highlight of the day: some ten minutes at sea and a swim in the blue light. The youngest get the pier with boats they can watch for hours, and in the early evening the beach empties, leaving room to run on the pebbles.
A DAY THAT PASSES EASILY

A BITE BY THE SEA
Homemade bread, tomatoes and olive oil: a simple bite that tastes different by the sea. And if the day runs long, the Marović apartments are right by the beach, so after dinner there is no driving: just a short walk to the room, and tomorrow it all starts again. See the apartments.
Sleep by the beach
Apartments right by Žanjice: no driving after dinner, with the sea a few steps from the door.
